1. Promoter

The promoter of the Tackling Australia "Name Our Boat" Competition ("Competition") is Tackling Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 84 667 629 343) ("Promoter" or "Tackling Australia").

2. Competition Period

The Competition opens at 9:00 am AEST on Monday, 28 September 2026 and closes at 11:59 pm AEDT on Sunday, 25 October 2026 ("Competition Period"). Entries received outside the Competition Period will not be eligible.

3. Eligibility

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.

Directors, management and employees of the Promoter, its related entities, and agencies, suppliers or providers directly associated with conducting or judging the Competition, and their Immediate Families, are not eligible to enter.

4. How to Enter

Entry is free. No purchase is required.

To enter, an eligible entrant must, during the Competition Period:

visit the designated Tackling Australia "Name Our Boat" competition post on the Tackling Australia YouTube channel;
comment on that post with one proposed name for the Tackling Australia boat; and
in the same comment, in 25 words or less, explain why they believe their proposed name is the perfect name for the Tackling Australia boat.

Only one entry is permitted per person.

If an entrant submits more than one entry, only the entrant's first eligible entry will be considered and all subsequent entries will be invalid.

Entrants are not required to subscribe to the Tackling Australia YouTube channel, like content, or take any other engagement action to enter or win.

Eligible Entrants may enter only in their own name. Each entry must be the entrant's own original work and is considered final once submitted.

5. Valid Entries and Technical Issues

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, misdirected, deleted, filtered, hidden or otherwise unavailable entries, including where a YouTube comment does not appear or ceases to appear because of a platform, connectivity or technical issue.

Incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries may be deemed invalid. An entry may also be disqualified if the Promoter reasonably considers it offensive, obscene, defamatory, unlawful, inappropriate, infringing of third-party rights, or inconsistent with the spirit of the Competition.

The Promoter may verify the validity of any entry and entrant and may disqualify an entrant who tampers with the entry process, submits an entry contrary to these Terms and Conditions, or engages in unlawful or improper conduct intended to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition.

6. Game of Skill and Judging

This Competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners.

All eligible entries will be judged on Tuesday, 27 October 2026 by a judging panel appointed by Tackling Australia. The panel will assess each entry on:

originality and creativity of the proposed boat name;
memorability of the proposed name;
relevance to Tackling Australia, fishing, boating and the character of the Tackling Australia brand;
suitability of the proposed name for the Tackling Australia boat and for use in Tackling Australia content, marketing and branding; and
creativity and quality of the entrant's explanation of why the name should be selected.

The panel will rank the three entries that it considers best satisfy these criteria as First, Second and Third. The judges' decision is final, subject to applicable law, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the judging process.

7. First Prize

The entrant ranked First will receive the First Prize, valued in excess of AUD $5,500, comprising a selection of fishing, outdoor and lifestyle products and vouchers supplied by Tackling Australia and its sponsors, together with:

return economy airfares for the winner from the winner's nearest Australian capital city to Cairns, Queensland, travelling to Cairns on Sunday, 8 November 2026 and returning on Wednesday, 11 November 2026;
three (3) nights' accommodation in or around Cairns on 8, 9 and 10 November 2026;
return airport transfers in Cairns; and
an exclusive two (2) day fishing experience with Nigel and Nicko aboard the Tackling Australia boat on Monday, 9 November and Tuesday, 10 November 2026.

The travel component, comprising return economy airfares, three nights' accommodation and return airport transfers in Cairns, has an estimated value of up to AUD $2,000.

The fishing experience with Nigel and Nicko is an exclusive experience that is not offered for sale and has therefore not been assigned a retail value. Its value is additional to the stated value of the First Prize.

8. First Prize Travel Conditions

The First Prize winner must travel to Cairns on 8 November 2026, fish on 9 and 10 November 2026, and return on 11 November 2026.

All travel and accommodation components must be taken together and on the dates offered. No extension or variation is permitted unless the Promoter agrees in writing.

Travel and accommodation will be arranged by the Promoter or its nominated provider. The winner may be required to present a valid credit card or other security at accommodation check-in and is responsible for charges not included in the prize.

The fishing activities are subject to weather, sea conditions, vessel availability, mechanical issues and the reasonable safety requirements of the skipper and crew. The winner must comply with all reasonable safety directions.

If a fishing day cannot proceed because of circumstances outside the Promoter's reasonable control, the Promoter may modify, postpone or substitute that component where reasonably practicable. A cash substitute is not required for a fishing day that cannot proceed for those reasons.

The First Prize is for the winner only. A companion is not included. Unless expressly included, transport to and from the departure airport, meals, spending money, travel insurance and incidental expenses are the winner's responsibility.

9. Second and Third Prizes

The entrant ranked Second will receive a selection of fishing, outdoor and lifestyle products and vouchers supplied by Tackling Australia and its sponsors, valued in excess of AUD $2,700.

The entrant ranked Third will receive a selection of fishing, outdoor and lifestyle products and vouchers supplied by Tackling Australia and its sponsors, valued in excess of AUD $2,400.

10. Prize Conditions and Prize Values

The combined stated retail value of the three Prizes is in excess of AUD $10,600, excluding the exclusive two-day fishing experience forming part of the First Prize.

Prize values are based on recommended retail prices provided by the relevant prize suppliers and, in the case of the First Prize travel component, reasonable estimated travel and accommodation costs at the time these Terms and Conditions were prepared.

The actual value of the First Prize travel component may vary depending on the winner's point of departure and fares, accommodation rates and other costs available at the time of booking. Any difference between the estimated and actual value will not be paid to the winner in cash or otherwise.

The Promoter will arrange and pay for delivery of the product components of each Prize to the relevant winner at an Australian delivery address. Delivery costs do not form part of the stated retail value of the Prizes.

Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash, except to the extent that a Prize includes a voucher or gift card and except where required by law.

Prize components are also subject to the prevailing terms and conditions of the relevant airline, accommodation provider, voucher issuer, product supplier and other prize suppliers.

If a Prize or Prize component becomes unavailable for a reason beyond the Promoter's reasonable control, the Promoter may provide a comparable substitute of equal or greater value, subject to applicable law.

Any tax implications arising from a Prize are the responsibility of the winner. Winners should obtain independent advice if required.

11. Naming the Tackling Australia Boat

Tackling Australia intends to use the First Prize winner's proposed name as the name of the Tackling Australia boat, subject to reasonable legal, intellectual property, registration and commercial checks.

The Promoter may decide not to use, or may reasonably modify, the winning name if it may infringe another person's rights, is subject to an existing trade mark or restriction, is offensive, defamatory, misleading or inappropriate, creates a material legal, commercial or reputational issue, or is otherwise unsuitable.

Selection as the First Prize winner is therefore not an unconditional guarantee that the proposed name will be adopted, registered or used permanently.

12. Originality and Intellectual Property

By entering, each entrant warrants, to the best of their knowledge, that their entry is their own original creation, they are entitled to submit it, it does not knowingly infringe another person's rights, and it does not contain unlawful, defamatory or offensive material.

Entrants retain ownership of their entries.

By entering, each entrant grants the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to reproduce, display, publish and communicate the entry for the purposes of conducting, judging, promoting and publicising the Competition.

The First Prize winner grants the Promoter a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, adapt and commercialise the winning boat name in connection with the Tackling Australia boat, Tackling Australia content, merchandise, advertising, marketing, social media and related activities. No additional fee or royalty is payable for that use.

The First Prize winner agrees to sign any reasonable further document necessary to give effect to these rights.

13. Duplicate or Similar Names

More than one entrant may independently propose the same or a substantially similar name. Each eligible entry will be judged on its merits, including its explanation and the published judging criteria. Submitting a name first does not automatically give an entrant ownership of that name or an entitlement to win.

14. Winner Notification, Acceptance and Verification

The First, Second and Third Prize winners will be notified in writing by Wednesday, 28 October 2026 through their YouTube account and/or other contact details reasonably obtained to verify their entry.

The prospective First Prize winner must respond, accept the prize and confirm availability for the fixed travel dates within 48 hours of notification.

Before any prize is awarded, the Promoter may require a prospective winner to provide appropriate photo identification or other documentation reasonably required to confirm identity, age, Australian residency, eligibility and the validity of the entry.

A prize will be awarded only after any winner validation and verification reasonably required by the Promoter has been completed. A winner may also be required to sign a reasonable prize acceptance or release document.

If a prospective winner is ineligible, cannot be contacted, fails to respond within the required timeframe, cannot satisfactorily verify eligibility, declines the prize, or (for First Prize) cannot participate on the fixed travel dates, the prize may be awarded to the next highest-ranked eligible entry by reference to the original judging criteria.

Winners may be announced through Tackling Australia's YouTube channel, website and other social media, including the winner's name and general locality.

15. Filming and Publicity

The First Prize fishing experience is intended to form part of Tackling Australia content.

By accepting the First Prize, the winner agrees that Tackling Australia may photograph, film and record the winner during the Cairns trip, fishing experience and associated boat naming, launch or promotional activities.

Subject to applicable law, the First Prize winner permits Tackling Australia to use their name, general locality, image, likeness, voice and recordings in Tackling Australia television, online, YouTube, social media, advertising, promotional and marketing content for an unlimited period without additional payment, and agrees to participate in reasonable promotional activities relating to the Competition.

16. YouTube

The Competition is conducted using YouTube but is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with YouTube. YouTube is not responsible for the Competition or any prize.

By entering, entrants release YouTube from any liability arising out of or relating to the Competition to the extent permitted by law.

All entries must comply with the YouTube Community Guidelines. Entries that do not comply will be disqualified.

The Competition will also be conducted consistently with YouTube's Contest Policies and Guidelines and YouTube's Terms of Service.

17. Privacy Notice

The Promoter may collect personal information from entrants and winners for administering the Competition, confirming eligibility, contacting and announcing winners, arranging and providing prizes, and promoting the Competition.

The Promoter may disclose relevant personal information to airlines, accommodation providers, prize suppliers and other service providers where reasonably necessary to arrange or provide a prize.

Personal information collected for the Competition will not be used for unrelated direct marketing unless the entrant has separately consented. The Promoter will take reasonable steps to protect the information and retain it only as reasonably required for the Competition, legal compliance and related record-keeping.

An entrant may contact Tackling Australia through tacklingaustralia.com to request access to or correction of personal information held about them in connection with the Competition.

18. Disqualification and Fair Conduct

The Promoter may disqualify an entrant who breaches these Terms and Conditions, submits more than one entry, provides false or misleading information, attempts to manipulate or interfere with the Competition or judging process, uses automated, fraudulent or deceptive means to enter, infringes another person's rights, or engages in unlawful or improper conduct affecting the fair conduct of the Competition.

19. Liability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.

Subject to those rights, the Promoter is not responsible for loss, damage, delay, cancellation or injury caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including technical failures, third-party interference, flight disruption, adverse weather, sea conditions, mechanical issues, or acts or omissions of third-party travel and prize suppliers.

Applicable manufacturers or distributors should be contacted in relation to product warranty claims where relevant.

20. Modification, Suspension or Cancellation

If the Competition cannot run as planned, or a prize or prize component becomes unavailable, for reasons beyond the Promoter's reasonable control, the Promoter may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition or affected component and, where necessary and permitted by law, provide a comparable prize or component of equal or greater value.

The Promoter will exercise any such right reasonably and, where practicable, fairly to entrants and winners.

21. Definitions

"Australian Consumer Law" means Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

"Immediate Family" includes a spouse or de facto partner, child or step-child, parent or step-parent, grandparent, sibling or step-sibling.

"Personal Information" has the meaning given in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), where that Act applies.

22. Acceptance of Terms

Information on how to enter and the prizes forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering the Competition, entrants acknowledge that they have read and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

The Promoter's decisions concerning eligibility, judging and administration of the Competition are final, subject to applicable law.
